CLAIR SHORES — When the 66th St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade steps off from Ridgeway Street and Harper Avenue at 1 p.m. May 27, it will include veterans old and new, Olympians, pageant queens, bands, bagpipers and more. Two-time Olympic medalist Nancy Kerrigan will participate in this year’s parade, and this year’s grand marshal is Vito “Bill” Pellegrino, a 93-year-old veteran of World War II. Also being highlighted in the parade are John Lind, the distinguished veteran of the year, Pearl Harbor veteran Russell Shields, and St. Clair Shores Veteran of the Year Stanley Kokuba, who served at D-Day.
