Troy police officers are looking for the people who shot off multiple guns outside a hotel near Interstate 75 and Big Beaver Road.

According to the Troy Police Department, the gunfire went off around 10:40 p.m. Dec. 1 outside the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 200 Wilshire Drive. Police said they found more than 30 bullet casings in the parking lot, and police added that they believe that more than one shooter was responsible.

Police added that they interviewed several people, but at this time, police don’t know why the suspects shot the guns, nor do they know if anyone was injured. Police said two hotel windows were damaged during the incident.

Troy Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Meghan Lehman called the incident “highly unusual.” She said police believe the gunshots came from handguns or pistols, adding that she was not aware of any rifles being used.

“(The guns) were different calibers, so we know there were different guns involved,” she said.

Police want anyone who knows more about this incident to call them at (248) 524-3477.
