Selfridge Air National Guard Base to conduct military exercises this week

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Exercises are being conducted at Selfridge Air National Guard Base this week, and may include the use of sirens, loudspeakers, and simulated gunfire, according to an April 30 press release. Residents or those in the area near the base may be able to hear some of the sounds as a result of this exercise.

The Michigan Air National Guard conducts training exercises on a regular basis to ensure that local Airmen are able to appropriately respond to a wide range of scenarios, according to base officials.
