Caller reports tire tracks behind elementary school
ROYAL OAK — At approximately 2:30 a.m. April 21, a resident reported that he had observed tire tracks on the grass behind Oakland Elementary School, 2415 Brockton Ave., near East Lincoln Avenue and South Stephenson Highway.
Police make arrest for operating while under the influence of drugs
ROYAL OAK — At approximately 9:59 a.m. April 20, Royal Oak police responded to the area of Crooks Road and Lexington Avenue on a report of a vehicle that had struck a pole.
Responding officers identified the driver, a 43-year-old Royal Oak resident, who had not been injured in the crash, and she stated that she was driving southbound on Crooks Road when she suddenly blacked out, according to the police report.
Police discovered several cans of Dust-Off inside the vehicle, the driver admitted to inhaling the aerosol, and police arrested her for operating while under the influence of drugs, according to the report.
Complainant reports removed window screen
ROYAL OAK — A complainant reported that sometime between 10 a.m. April 20 and 11:30 p.m. April 21, an unknown suspect had removed a window screen from her house, but nothing appeared to have been stolen from inside the home, located in the 4500 block of North Campbell Road, south of 13 Mile Road.

ROYAL OAK — At approximately 7 p.m. April 20, a complainant reported that someone, possibly a family member, had stolen two of her laptops from her house, located in the 400 block of North Minerva Road, near North Stephenson Highway and East 11 Mile Road.
Unknown suspect slashes vehicle’s tires at Meijer
ROYAL OAK — A complainant reported that sometime between 10 p.m. April 19 and 7 a.m. April 20, an unknown suspect slashed two of the tires on her vehicle while it was parked at Meijer, 5150 Coolidge Highway, north of 14 Mile Road.
Police arrest shoplifter at Meijer
ROYAL OAK — At approximately 9 a.m. April 19, police responded to a report of a shoplifter being detained by store security at Meijer, 5150 Coolidge Highway, north of 14 Mile Road.
Officers arrested the suspect for allegedly attempting to steal more than $300 worth of store merchandise, according to the police report.

ROYAL OAK — At approximately 1 p.m. April 19, police responded to a report of a shoplifter being detained by store security at Meijer, 5150 Coolidge Highway, north of 14 Mile Road.
Officers arrested the suspect for allegedly attempting to steal a $38 bottle of liquor, according to the police report.
Caller reports smashed vehicle window
ROYAL OAK — At approximately 10:30 p.m. April 16, a complainant reported hearing glass breaking, and she observed the broken driver’s side window of a Dodge Charger in the parking lot of her apartment building, located in the 3600 block of Crooks Road, north of 14 Mile Road.
Responding police officers located the owner of the vehicle, and she determined that nothing had been stolen, according to the police report.
