ROSEVILLE — Roseville police officers responded to a fight that took place in the 17000 block of Lowell Street, in the area of Martin Road and Gratiot Avenue, at approximately 3:20 p.m. Aug. 7.

According to the Police Department, several individuals, described by witnesses as at least a dozen people, became involved in an altercation in the street. No one requested medical attention, although police said one individual had apparent injuries from dog bites. According to police, that individual said they would seek their own medical attention.

“It was pushing and shoving mostly,” Roseville Deputy Police Chief Donald Glandon said. “We think a dog got involved at some point. Some of them were still on the scene when officers arrived. We’ve been speaking with them and other witnesses in the area so we can sort it all out.”

Roseville police officials said those involved were from Roseville and several nearby communities. Police said they are conducting a follow-up investigation and attempting to speak to victims, witnesses and suspects. Once the investigation is complete, a determination will be made regarding potential charges.
