WEST BLOOMFIELD — Shortly before 3:30 a.m. Oct. 9 a West Bloomfield resident on Janet Drive called 911 and stated that three individuals had broken into her house and shot her husband multiple times.

According to some reports, the victim is a 34-year-old rapper known as Mr. Macnificent.

He was transported to a local hospital.

West Bloomfield Deputy Chief Curt Lawson said the man, who had been shot twice, was conscious when he was transported, but his current condition is unknown.

Lawson confirmed that it was a forced entry incident.

After arriving on the scene, the West Bloomfield police secured the residence and set up a perimeter.

According to Lawson, officers called out a K-9 unit, did a track, and determined that it is probable that the suspects traveled a short distance on foot before getting into a vehicle and leaving the area.

Aside from the suspects, there were four people inside the home.

"The detectives were on scene for quite a while," Lawson said. "They're canvassing the neighborhood right now looking for surveillance video from houses. They'll be downloading some electronics and re-interviewing the witnesses in the house. ... Just the beginning stages of the investigation."

Lawson also said that "it appears that multiple shots were fired within the residence by the suspect or suspects, and by someone from within the residence itself."

The suspects are all males.
