Police search for missing Southfield man

Several local law enforcement agencies are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man. 

According to a news release from the Southfield Police Department and the Michigan State Police, Robert James Brunsden, 88, of Southfield, is missing. 

Deputy Police Chief Nick Loussia said in the release that Brunsden was last seen around 6:45 p.m. Sept. 7, when he walked away from the Franklin Terrace Memory Care Facility at 26962 Franklin Road. 

Brunsden is described as a white man around 5 feet 8 inches tall and 130 pounds. He is described as having long white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a khaki windbreaker jacket, blue jeans, brown slippers and glasses. 

Loussia said in the release that Brunsden has dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. 

Brunsden was entered in the Law Enforcement Information Network as a missing endangered person, Loussia said.
