Police are asking for local residents to help identify a man after he was caught on camera attempting to steal an ATM at a Roseville bank.

At approximately 3 a.m. on March 18, an unknown white male suspect attempted to steal the drive-up ATM from the Chase Bank at Groesbeck Highway and 13 Mile Road.

The suspect — who in surveillance footage can be seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark hat — pulled up to the ATM and used some type of pry bar to attempt to break into the machine. He was unsuccessful in his attempt but still caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to the machine.

Authorities ask that anyone who can possibly identify the suspect immediately contact the Roseville Please Department at (586) 775-2100, ext. 8.
