Police arrested a 47-year old Detroit man who reportedly fondled himself in a car parked at the Michaels store at 1205 Coolidge at 7:30 p.m. May 25.

According to police, a woman called police to report that a man had parked next to her in the lot at Whole Foods Market, 2880 W. Maple, grabbed his genital area, then rolled down the window. The woman fled the area and called police with a description of the vehicle and its license plate number, said Troy Police Lt. Robert Redmond.

When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect vehicle was gone, but upon checking the area, police found it in the Michaels store parking lot near several other cars. Police approached the vehicle on foot and saw the driver fondling himself, with his pants pulled down to his thighs.

“He parked near the front door, and anybody walking by would have seen it,’ Redmond said.

Police arrested the man for indecent exposure. He posted bond, and was released pending his next court date.
