Pharmacy robbed by three gunmen

MOUNT CLEMENS — Law enforcement officials are looking for three armed men robbed who the MI Care Pharmacy in Mount Clemens early Friday.

According to a report released by Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, at 9:38 a.m., three men, each armed with a handgun, entered the front door of the business located at 33 Church Street and ordered the two store employees to the rear of the store. One of the suspects forced one of the employees to open a safe.

The report states that the suspects gathered various narcotic medications, putting them into mesh laundry bags. The suspects then fled the store through the front door.

According to eyewitnesses, the three suspects, all described as black males, got into a newer-model white vehicle, possibly a Mazda or a Ford Fusion that was parked on the west side of the pharmacy. Wickersham reports that it is believed the suspects fled south on Gratiot after the robbery.

The suspects were each described as wearing a dark gray or black scarf around their faces and donning gloves. One suspect was only described as wearing blue jeans and a tan coat, another suspect was described as wearing green pants and a black coat and the third suspect was described as wearing a black “track suit.”

The report states that the store employees could only say that all three suspects had handguns, though they good not provide a full description of the weapons.
