Pedestrian hit, killed on Telegraph

An elderly man was struck and killed on Telegraph Road the evening of Sept. 10.

According to a news release from Deputy Chief Nick Loussia, around 8:15 p.m. Sept. 10, police and emergency responders were called to the area of Telegraph and Swanson roads on a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. 

When crews arrived, they located an elderly man in the roadway, who was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Loussia said the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and was interviewed by officers. 

At press time, the investigation was ongoing, Loussia said.
