One person dead, 2 injured in WB shooting

WEST BLOOMFIELD — Two men were injured and another person was found dead following a report of a shooting June 17.

A man from a residence on Chase Court called police at around 1:15 a.m. to report that he had been shot multiple times and he believed that he had also shot someone.

Later, a 911 call was received that a dark colored Dodge Charger was seen leaving the area of Chase Court.

After arriving at the scene, police confirmed that the resident had been shot multiple times. Another subject was found dead with gunshot wounds at the residence.

The injured man was transported to a hospital.

At around 1:25 a.m., West Bloomfield and Farmington Hills patrol vehicles located a Dodge Charger matching the description of the vehicle seen leaving Chase Court.

After police conducted a traffic stop, the driver exited the vehicle and was detained by officers.

The driver, a 47-year-old man, told police that he had a gunshot wound to his stomach, and he was transported to a local hospital.

A handgun was recovered from the vehicle.

West Bloomfield detectives continue to investigate.
