Troy police were alerted that a man allegedly was taking “upskirt” photos of an unsuspecting female at Somerset Collection just before 4 p.m. Feb. 21.

According to the police report, the suspect, Kristopher Murray, 36, from Clinton Township, allegedly was seen following a 16-year-old girl closely on the escalator and taking photos and/or video.

An officer at the scene located Murray and arrested him.

Murray was charged with one count of capturing an image of an unclothed person, a five-year felony and one count of using a computer to commit a crime, a seven-year-felony.

He was arraigned Feb. 22 and subsequently bonded out. His bond was set at $10,000 cash/surety, with 10%.

His next hearing is set for March 2 in 52-4 District Court.

The victim told police she was unaware that she was being photographed, but she did notice someone standing close to her.

Murray appeared in court without an attorney. His attorney could not be reached for comment.
