“There’s another world waiting, at Ford Field on Van Dyke between 22 and 23 Mile Roads in Shelby Township. The magic that is a carnival has turned the field into a maze of whirling lights, cotton candy, and laughter. There’s a tiny zoo of stuffed animals vying for new owners. The music and rides and thrills will last only through Sunday, when the 24th annual Shelby-Utica Lions Homecoming comes to an end. It’s a trip into childhood, where time goes away for a while.”
