The 1981-82 school year for the Holly Junior High School football team was the final one. That season, the Holly Stingers played against Page, Busch, Wilkinson, Wolfe, Clawson and Hickory junior high schools. Holly finished the season with 4 wins; 1 loss and 1 tie.

That year, the school was sold to become De La Salle Collegiate, an all-boys Catholic High School that moved from its former location in Detroit to the Holly building on Gloede and Common roads in Warren. Students from Holly then relocated to Hickory Junior High School, also part of the Warren Woods Public Schools district. Hickory closed the following year, and the district now has one middle school: Warren Woods Middle School.
