Hills woman dies in vehicle crash

A 24-year-old woman died following a single-vehicle rollover crash at around 3:40 a.m. Aug. 26 in the area of Shiawassee and Inkster roads, according to a city press release.

The woman, whose name was not released, was driving eastbound on Shiawassee Road and crashed at Inkster Road, according to the press release; speed and alcohol are considered to be factors in the crash, according to the release.

The vehicle struck a large light pole and an electrical box, the release stated. The driver was taken to Beaumont Hospital – Farmington Hills and died a little while later.

Officers discovered that the Jeep Cherokee had rolled over and that the driver had been ejected from the vehicle, according to the release.
