1. Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival
Oct. 8 • Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm
For the 22nd year, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1005 Van Hoosen Road, will celebrate the harvest season with its Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, with activities including pumpkin bowling, creative pumpkin carving, musical entertainment, an art craft and food. The museum’s “Scarecrows in the City” outdoor exhibit — which includes scarecrows made by local businesses and organizations — will be revealed and moved downtown, where they will be on display along Main Street. Cemetery walks: Learn about founding residents, prominent people and sports figures from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Pine Lake Cemetery, on the northeast corner of Lone Pine and Middlebelt roads in West Bloomfield. 2. Macomb County Pride
Oct. 7-9 • Downtown Mount Clemens
After a successful inaugural event in 2021, Macomb County Pride is bringing its Pride Festival back to downtown Mount Clemens. The 2022 edition will include midway rides and games on Main Street from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. In addition, there will be a pub crawl from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday; a street fair with handmade goods and nonprofit resources, as well as live musical performances, from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday on Macomb Place; and Pet-Palooza, featuring pet photography from noon to 3 p.m. and a pet costume contest from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday. While the celebration is meant to show pride and support for the LGBTQ+ community, it is designed to be an inclusive, family-friendly event open to everybody. 3. Jurassic Quest / Novi Home Show

Jurassic Quest
Take a trip back 65 million years to experience lifelike moving and roaring dinosaurs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi. The event will also feature live dinosaur shows; interactive science and art activities, including a giant fossil dig and real fossils; a “Triceratots” soft play area for tiny explorers; photo opportunities; and more. Novi Home Show
During the same weekend, the Novi Home Show will be teeming with booths and exhibits aimed at helping people save money, time and stress on house projects. Learn about the latest trends and technology, and seek advice from local companies and experts from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. 4. Croce Plays Croce / The Peking Acrobats

Croce Plays Croce
Hear A.J. Croce pay homage to his late father — folk and rock singer-songwriter Jim Croce — during a 50th anniversary celebration of the album You Don't Mess Around With Jim at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, on the campus of Macomb Community College, 44575 Garfield Road in Clinton Township. Croce Plays Croce will feature tunes from the catalogs of both artists, as well as songs by musicians who inspired them both. The Peking Acrobats
A different kind of talent will take the stage at 3 p.m. Sunday when The Peking Acrobats — featuring The Shanghai Circus — dazzle the crowd with trick-cycling, precision tumbling, juggling, somersaulting and gymnastics. Described as an "exuberant event with the festive pageantry of a Chinese carnival," the performers will "push the limits of human ability, defying gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility and control." 5. Greater Detroit Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show
Oct. 7-9 • MCC Sports & Expo Center, Warren
The 77th annual Greater Detroit Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Macomb Community College South Campus Sports & Expo Center, 14500 E. 12 Mile Road in Warren. The event will feature more than 70 vendors of jewelry, gems and crystals, unique minerals, and authentic fossils. There will be Yooperlite glow rocks, hands-on activities for kids, wire-wrapping jewelry demonstrations, $1 grab bags for children, door prizes and more.
