1. Boo Bash
Oct. 29 • Southfield Pavilion
Boo Bash will welcome families from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road. Costumed children can work on activities like a bat craft, pirate keychains and coloring pages, as well as play Halloween-themed games like mummy bowling, skeleton toss and ring the witch hat. Guy Louis, also known as “The Friendly Dracula,” will hold interactive shows at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Along Trick or Treat Street, kids can visit stations for candy and giveaways. Hayrides will travel to the Civic Center Park Picnic Shelter for cider and doughnuts, departing from the Southfield Parks and Recreation Building until 3:30 p.m. Admission costs $5 per person for Southfield residents and $10 for nonresidents. 2. Curious and Macabre Lantern Tour
Oct. 28 • Troy Historic Village
From a plant known as “dead man’s finger” to lethal Victorian baby bottles, the Curious and Macabre Lantern Tour will show off some of the most creepy, unusual and morbid items in the collection of the Troy Historic Village, 60 W. Wattles Road. The guided event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday and take people to spaces normally off limits from the public. Ages 15 and older are welcome. 3. Trunk or treat
Oct. 29 • Fraser Public Library
The Fraser Public Library, 16330 14 Mile Road, will host its trunk-or-treat celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The free event started in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, since children were discouraged from going door to door for candy. The Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society Museum in Eastpointe and New Baltimore Trade Center will also host trunk or treats in Macomb County this weekend. In Oakland County, businesses in Ferndale, Clawson and Berkley are set to hand out candy to little ghouls and goblins.
