1. Sip, Savor, Stomp
Saturday, March 25 • Royal Oak Farmers Market

More than 300 wines will be available for sampling during Sip, Savor, Stomp 7:30-11 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Royal Oak Farmers Market, 316 E. 11 Mile Road.

Wine tastings will be offered by 90 vineyards and wineries, and attendees can also enjoy artisan cheeses, chocolates, coffees and wine-inspired cuisine from local restaurants, as well as live music.

General admission tickets cost $45 and include 15 samples, a commemorative glass and a keepsake photo. Bottles and cases of wine will also be available to purchase via Papa Joe’s Gourmet Market, which is presenting the event. For more information, visit sipsavorstomp.com.


2. ‘RENT’
March 21-26 • Fisher Theatre, Detroit

The 20th anniversary tour of the Tony Award-winning musical “RENT” is making its way to Detroit March 21-26.

“RENT,” which made its Broadway debut in 1996, tells the story of a year in the lives of seven artists struggling to survive in New York City in the early ’90s. The current tour features West Bloomfield native Danny Harris Kornfeld in the role of young filmmaker Mark Cohen.

3. Spring Royal Oak Toy Show
Saturday, March 25 • Royal Oak Farmers Market

The Spring Royal Oak Toy Show will take place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 25 at the Royal Oak Farmers Market, 316 E. 11 Mile Road.

Organizers said the show, hosted by W&D Promotions, will feature 30 dealers from all over the Midwest who will buy, sell and appraise collectibles and nostalgic, antique toys from the 19th century to the present day. This year’s show will feature an emphasis on “Star Wars” and superhero collectibles.

Admission costs $4 for adults and is free for kids ages 12 and younger. Early buying will be offered 7-9 a.m. for $10.


4. Disney on Ice
March 23-26 • The Palace of Auburn Hills

The latest Disney on Ice production, “Follow Your Heart,” is skating into The Palace of Auburn Hills for nine shows March 23-26.

Audiences can look forward to seeing some of their favorite Disney characters take to the ice to tell a series of heartwarming stories. For the first time, characters from “Finding Dory” and “Inside Out” will be part of the show. They’ll be joined by much-loved Disney princesses, as well as characters from “Frozen” and “Toy Story.”

Ticket prices start at $15. Showtimes are 11 a.m. 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 24; and 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 25-26. The Palace is located at 6 Championship Drive in Auburn Hills. For more information on Disney on Ice, visit DisneyOnIce.com.


5. Backyard, Pool & Spa Show
March 24-26  • The Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi

Thinking about adding a pool, spa, patio or landscaping to your yard this summer? The annual Novi Backyard, Pool & Spa Show, coming to the Suburban Collection Showplace March 24-28, is a one-stop shop for information on ways you can transform your outdoor space.

More than 50 different companies will display their work and expertise when it comes to various topics, including in-ground and above-ground pools, spas, swim spas, hot tubs, saunas, decks, patios, fencing, awnings, outdoor kitchens and living spaces, landscaping and more.

Show hours are 3-9 p.m. Friday, March 24; 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, March 25; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, March 26. Admission costs $8 for adults and $4 for children between the ages of 6 and 14. Children ages 5 and younger will be admitted for free. Parking is available for a fee. The Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi.
