WARREN — A 20-year-old Center Line woman was killed when the car she was driving was struck by a pickup truck on Van Dyke Avenue at Miller Drive at about 6:45 a.m. Nov. 4.

According to a media release from the Warren Police Department, the woman was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Beetle northbound on Van Dyke when it reportedly drifted into the southbound lanes, where it was struck by a white GMC Sierra.

The driver of the VW was reportedly extricated from her vehicle by Warren firefighters and transported to the hospital, where she was later declared dead. The driver of the truck was treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, but the crash remains under investigation.
