Armed suspect robs restaurant patron

Police are looking for a man who brandished a handgun and robbed a woman who was sitting in the outdoor patio area at Little Tony’s Restaurant at 20513 Mack at about 2:05 p.m. Aug. 31.

The robber reportedly paced in front of the patio area, which is located in front of the restaurant, before pulling a handgun out of his pocket and walking up to the woman. He pointed the gun at the woman and demanded that the woman hand over her purse, according to police information.

The woman gave the suspect the purse and he walked out of the seating area before running north on Mack, according to police information. 

The suspect was described as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s who stood about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing an oversized white T-shirt with dark, knee-length shorts and dark athletic shoes, according to police information.
