HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office reports a 60-year-old Clinton Township man died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in Harrison Township the morning of Oct. 29.

According to the sheriff’s report, the victim, Brian Pruehs, was heading eastbound on I-94 near the Metropolitan Parkway exit at approximately 8:30 a.m. when the accident occurred. Witnesses told investigators that they had seen Pruehs’ 2003 Ford Escape travelling erratically just prior to the crash.

The report states that Pruehs, who was travelling alone, crossed several lanes of traffic and had attempted to exit the freeway at Metropolitan Parkway when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed. Witnesses also said that Pruehs was ejected from the vehicle.

Investigators said it is believed that Pruehs was not wearing a seat belt.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this crash, according to the report.
