While stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, in July of 1982, I was looking for a car that was not in some car lot. I bought this 1968 Buick GS 350 off of a guy from Pennsylvania who got it from his grandmother, who had it sitting in her backyard for over 10 years.

So for some reason I kept a hold of the car, even stored it in many garages while serving here and overseas two times. Then I took it to Fort Drum, New York, for nine years.

And yes, I drove it to Michigan many times for fun and Woodward cruises. After retiring from the Army, I returned home to Michigan, and throughout my ownership, I had body work and a list of other things done to it, including two paint jobs and a few visits for some repairs and touch-ups, at B & B Collision where Nick and the crew took great care of my classic. I’d go to no other place. We have enjoyed Woodward cruises, Berkley car parades and many car shows with United Street Machine. Thirty-nine years of adventures ... and the ride continues!
