Teen injured in bowling alley parking lot shooting

ST. CLAIR SHORES/HARPER WOODS — St. Clair Shores police are investigating a shooting that occurred just before 9 p.m. Jan. 12 in the parking lot of a local bowling alley.

A call was made to 911 dispatch at 8:51 p.m. reporting shots fired at Harbor Lanes, 25419 Jefferson Ave., according to a press release from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. When police arrived, they found one vehicle that had been struck by gunfire. A second vehicle had allegedly also been hit but had left the scene. However, the occupants of the second vehicle flagged down a Harper Woods police officer for help a short time later when they were driving on the westbound service drive of Interstate 94.

St. Clair Shores police report that a 19-year-old Eastpointe resident was struck and is in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital, being treated for gunshot wounds.

A witness told police that the suspect vehicle may be a black Chrysler 300 with an older body style.
