BLOOMFIELD HILLS — On trend but not overly trendy. Inspired dressing. Next-level, fun and flirty classic style.

Have you seen the Village Boutique lately?  “You’ve got to come in to believe how cool this place is,” said Terri Cooper, owner of the Village Boutique on Inkster Road, in Bloomfield Hills. “We are here for all ages. No matter what style of dress you wear, we can style you completely on trend.”

The Village Boutique offers fashion from Charlie B, Joseph Ribkoff, Alembika, Nic + Zoe, Lysse, Wooden Ships, Astrid and other designers. The “village vibe” shopping experience translates to a “city cool” look thanks to an “amazing” staff that’s both professional and honest. “We know people are going out there and representing us, and that’s really important to us,” Cooper said. “We welcome everyone in with a big hello, and we thank them for coming. No one feels lost here. Everybody’s part of the equation.”

It’s a formula that works for the Village Boutique, which moved to Bloomfield from its previous location on Franklin Road in the village of Franklin. “This is a new location for us, and it’s been awesome,” Cooper said. “We have a ton of business here. Our customers followed us, and we’re being introduced to a whole new set of customers, which is great.”

The clientele is all ages but tends to gravitate toward the 35-and-older crowd. Cooper said they see many customers in their 40s-60s but that they even get some fashion-savvy shoppers in their 80s and 90s.

“People like us because it’s kind of bohemian, and it’s kind of elegant and kind of fun and flirty,” she said. “It’s everyday-wear.”

The boutique’s success has allowed it to give back to charitable events and organizations.  “One thing we do is we give away our unsold clothes at the end of the season,” Cooper said. “We contribute or donate most of our leftover inventory to the Grace Centers of Hope.”

You’ll also see Village Boutique fashion on display at annual fundraising events.  But it’s not just clothes in the boutique. “It’s extraordinary gifts and garb,” Cooper said. “We’re kind of known for our girlfriend gifts. We have some men’s gifts, too.”

The Village Boutique is a unique place with a special vibe that works because of its inspired staff and loyal customers. “Everybody is part of our success, and we appreciate that,” Cooper said. “We never lose sight of that.”

The Village Boutique is located at 6457 Inkster Road. The boutique is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Sunday. For more information, call (248) 851-0055 or go to village-boutique.com.
