SHELBY TOWNSHIP — At approximately 8 p.m. Jan. 31, Shelby Township police and firefighters responded to a crash in which a vehicle had hit a pedestrian on 25 Mile Road, near Mound Road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.

According to a statement from the Shelby Township Police Department on crimewatch.net, a 55-year-old woman from Macomb Township was driving eastbound on 25 Mile when she hit the pedestrian, a 73-year-old Shelby Township woman, who was waking in the roadway.
