As General Sales Manager of Les Stanford Buick GMC in Ferndale, Kevin has helped transform the dealership into one of the most respected and high-performing operations in the region, earning him the 2025 City of Ferndale Mayor’s Business Council Executive of the Year Award. Michael Lary, The City of Ferndale Special Events Director, who awarded Maples the honor acknowledged his admiration for the winner.  “Beyond being a successful business man, Kevin is a dynamic individual recognized for his good heart and deeds.” said Lary.

Under Kevin’s leadership, Les Stanford Buick GMC achieved a historic distinction: becoming the number one Hummer EV dealership in the State of Michigan. In September 2025, the dealership set an all-time state record by selling sixty Hummer EVs in a single month—an achievement unmatched by any Michigan dealership. That milestone propelled Les Stanford Buick GMC to 4th place in National EV sales.

Winning awards isn’t new to Kevin, who was also named the Metro Detroit Salesperson of the Year by Detroit Choice Awards in 2020. He has been named a Notable Professional in Who’s Who in Black Detroit by the Michigan Chronicle and one of Michigan’s Most Influential People by Beautiful Magazine.

“I love my job because I get to help our customers get into the vehicle they want, when they want it,” Kevin says.

Kevin consistently credits his team for every accomplishment, emphasizing collaboration, professionalism, and shared accountability.
