Any month that begins with a Sunday has a Friday the 13th, which is especially spooky when it occurs in October thanks to the horror movie franchise of the same name. Are you willing to throw caution to the chilling wind by braving an event on what some consider an unlucky date?

2. Saturday the 14th

While the "Friday the 13th" series is legendary among slasher films, the 1981 horror-comedy "Saturday the 14th" should have been left on the cutting room floor. Rather than watch a movie whose rating is 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, scare up a good time with these activities on the not-so-terrifying date:

Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival
