ROSEVILLE — A woman died when a Roseville home caught fire last week.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. Monday, March 13, the Roseville Fire Department responded to a fire in the 28000 block of Hillview Street, north of Martin Road and west of Gratiot Avenue.

Roseville Fire Marshal William Ciner said that, when firefighters arrived on the scene, there was smoke “emitting from the eves of the house.”

An elderly woman died in the fire, according to Ciner.

The Eastpointe Fire Department assisted Roseville at the scene.

At press time, the fire remained under investigation and further details were not available.
