Rochester High and Macomb Dakota wrestling took the stage in the Division 1 state finals Feb. 22 in Battle Creek.
Rochester won its opening match against Temperance Bedford 37-24.
The Falcons trailed 15-6 before winning seven of the next 10 matches, getting victories from Justin Kim, Josh Wood, Joseph Gunther, Kaelan Richards, Dillon Maier, Aaron Morgan, Dean Vettese, Shane Shadaia and Shwan Shadaia.
Up next, Rochester takes on Novi Detroit Catholic Central at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 23 in Battle Creek.
Dakota fell to Hartland High 42-14.
Sal Caruso, Kenny Seelye, Josh Burham and Antonio Balabani won matches for the Cougars.
Dakota finishes the season 37-5 overall.
In D-2, Warren Lincoln lost to Allegan High 46-25.
Stephen Hooper, Shawn Lindsey, Robert Pope, Robert Loud and Ethan Eisenmann earned victories for the Abes.
Lincoln finishes 30-5 overall and with its first regional title since 2004.
