Oakland County bowling took center stage Jan. 19-20

The Oakland County bowling championships were held for boys and girls Jan. 19-20.
Troy High took the title in the boys competition, beating Walled Lake Central 381-354 in the final.
In the semifinals, Troy beat Ortonville Brandon 395-356 and Central topped Berkley High 337-310.
Berkley then beat Brandon 400-284 for third place.
Individually, Detroit Novi Catholic Central's McClain Canfield won the title with 685.
On the girls side, Holly High won the championship, beating White Lake Lakeland 321-302.
In the semis, Holly defeated Waterford Mott 306-275 and Lakeland ousted Walled Lake Central 330-303.
Central went on to beat Mott 372-311 for third place.
Individually, Farmington Hills Mercy's Maria Walawender was tops with 673.
