at Yale (6-4) — 7 p.m. Aug. 28
Lutheran North knocked off Yale 28-17 last season, as the teams met in a season opener for the sixth straight year. The Mustangs and Bulldogs have split those six meetings, with Lutheran North taking the last two matchups.
at Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes (8-3) – 1 p.m. Sept. 6
This is the first-ever meeting between the Mustangs and Lakers. Lakes is coming off of its second straight playoff appearance and averaged around 28 points per game in 2012 and 2013. Lutheran North allowed 24.5 points per game last season.
vs. Livonia Clarenceville (11-1) — 7 p.m. Sept. 12
The Week Three contest will mark the 32nd meeting of the Mustangs and Trojans. Clarenceville downed Lutheran North 19-17 last season. The last three meetings have been decided by a total of 8 points, with the Mustangs taking two of those contests.
at Dearborn Divine Child (3-6) – 7 p.m. Sept. 19
The tough schedule continues for the Mustangs, who after opening the season against three 2013 playoff squads take on a Divine Child team that beat them last season 32-15. The Mustangs are 0-4 against the Falcons.
at Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard (8-3) — 1 p.m. Sept. 27
Lutheran North dropped a 36-33 game to Gabriel Richard last season. The Mustangs are 0-4 against the Fighting Irish dating back to 2010.
vs. Harper Woods High (3-6) — 7 p.m. Oct. 3
Lutheran North downed Harper Woods High 37-14 last season for its fifth straight win in the series. The Mustangs put up an average of 34.2 points per game in those five wins. Lutheran North is 11-2 vs. Harper Woods High since 2000.
vs. Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (8-3) — 7 p.m. Oct. 10
The Mustangs fell 40-28 to the Fighting Irish in a high-scoring battle last season. Lutheran North is 1-3 all-time vs. Notre Dame Prep. The Fighting Irish have qualified for the state playoffs in each of the last three seasons.
vs. Detroit Loyola (13-1) — 7 p.m. Oct. 17
Loyola’s only two losses in 2012 and 2013 came in the Division 7 state championship game. The Bulldogs have gone 26-2 over the last two seasons. In the teams’ first-ever meeting last season, Lutheran North gave Loyola all it could handle but fell 12-7.
at Richmond (9-2) — 7 p.m. Oct. 24
Lutheran North’s season finale will be its seventh matchup against a team that made the 2013 state playoffs. Richmond downed Lutheran North 36-33 last season. The teams have split their last four meetings.
