Local boys basketball squads battle in district action

North Farmington boys basketball team took care of business in the district round of the postseason.
The Raiders won the title, which they last won in 2010, by beating Walled Lake Central 47-33 March 8 at home.
In its semifinal, North Farmington took care of Walled Lake Northern 59-42.
The Raiders played South Lyon High in its regional semifinal after press time.
The winner meets either Ypsilanti High or Canton High at 7 p.m. March 13 at Ann Arbor Huron in the regional final.
The Raiders have won one game at the regional level in school history.
Farmington High and Farmington Hills Harrison’s seasons came to an end at the district level.
Farmington fell to Detroit Renaissance 69-60 March 6 in a Class A district semifinal at Detroit U-D Jesuit.
The Falcons beat Redford Union 49-30 March 4 in its district opener.
Harrion lost to Walled Lake Northern 48-47 March 4 in its district opener at North Farmington.
