Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse
at Anchor Bay (4-5) — 7 p.m. Aug. 28
This meeting marks the third straight year the two will meet in a season opener. The Tars came out on top 27-14 last season and won five of the last seven in the series.
vs. St. Clair Shores Lakeview (3-6) – 7 p.m. Sept. 5
The contest is the first for the Lancers against the Huskies since 1993. The Lancers have taken nine of the last 10 meetings.
at Warren Cousino (1-8) — 7 p.m. Sept. 12
The two teams haven’t met since 2001, when L’Anse Creuse won 33-7. The teams have split the last six matchups dating back to 1994.
vs. Macomb Dakota (11-1) – 7 p.m. Sept. 19
This is the fourth meeting ever between the programs and the first since 1998. L’Anse Creuse holds a 2-1 edge in the series, but Dakota was two wins away from a state title last season.
vs. Romeo High (6-5) — 7 p.m. Sept. 26
The midseason tilt will be the 23rd matchup of the Lancers and Bulldogs, which first battled in 1957. This is the first time L’Anse Creuse and Romeo have met since 2005. L’Anse Creuse is 2-3 in its last five meetings with Romeo.
at Grosse Pointe North (6-4) — 7 p.m. Oct. 3
Grosse Pointe North holds an 8-3 edge in the series going back to 1990. The Norsemen downed the Lancers 35-14 last season. L’Anse Creuse last beat Grosse Pointe North in 2011.
vs. Roseville (1-8) — 7 p.m. Oct. 10
The first meeting since 2007 (L’Anse Creuse won 40-28). The Lancers hold a 6-4 edge over the Panthers in their last 10 meetings.
at Fraser High (3-6) — 7 p.m. Oct. 17
In the last three matchups, the Lancers and Ramblers have engaged in some shootouts, as the squads have combined to average 63 points per game in contests in 2007 and 2012-13. The teams have split their last 10 meetings.
vs. Macomb L’Anse Creuse North (8-2) — 7 p.m. Oct. 24
The Lancers will look to avenge last season’s 50-20 setback. The season finale represents the 40th straight season the Lancers and Crusaders have played one another. L’Anse Creuse North is 24-15 during that stretch, but L’Anse Creuse holds an 8-6 edge since 2000.
