FARMINGTON HILLS — Coach Wilson’s Basketball Camp is coming to Farmington Hills Harrison July 25-29.

Stefon Wilson, who coaches the boys varsity basketball team at Harrison, is welcoming boys and girls between ages 8 and 15 to learn the fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship and conditioning of the game.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and spots are limited. The cost is $180 per student, and Wilson asks for athletes to sign up by contacting him at coachstefonwilson@gmail.com or call (313) 919-1990.

FRASER — The scheduled dates and times for the 21st annual Eastside Soccer Camp have been released.

The camp is run by Thaier Mukhtar, who has over 30 years of experience as a varsity soccer coach at Fraser High and Warren De La Salle. Along with helping lead five teams to state championships, Mukhtar has been selected Michigan Coach of the Year 10 times and National Coach of the Year in 2008.

Eisenhower High School will hold a four-day summer baseball camp for players in grades 1-12 from June 20 through June 23.

The camp will be directed by Eisenhower head coach Jason Gendrau in conjunction with the U.S. Baseball Academy.

Sessions will be offered in advanced hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and baselining.

Groups will be limited to six players per coach, so early registration is recommended. Registration is now open.

Boys and girls in elementary and middle school will have the chance to hone their basketball skills during camps offered at Warren Cousino.

The camps, set for Aug. 3-6, will be run by Cousino girls basketball coach Mike Lee. A camp for youths in grades 1-4 will take place from 9-11:30 a.m. each day, with breakfast being served at 8:30 a.m. A camp for students in fifth through eighth grade is set for 12:30-2:30 p.m. each day, with lunch offered at 11:30 a.m.

The Michigan State High School Fishing Championship will take place at 6 a.m. June 28 on Lake St. Clair.

The competition, put on by The Bass Federation and Fishing League Worldwide, begins at the Harley Ensign Memorial Boat launch, located at 32995 S. River Road in Harrison Township. Weigh-in will be held at 2 p.m. at the boat launch. The tournament is open to any high school fishing team in Michigan.

The Detroit Pistons will be holding some "Pistons Academy" youth basketball camps on various dates and at variuos locations during the summer.

The camps are available for boys and girls entering grades 2-9.

Campers will receive professional instruction and fundamental work during the morning hours, and full-court games and contests during the afternoon.

Campers also receive a Pistons Academy T-shirt, a personalized self-evaluation report card, and a ticket to a 2015-16 Pistons home game.
