Four games featured players from Division 1-4, which players from all over the state being split into "Red" and "White" teams.
Thirteen players from the C & G coverage area played in two games — Division 1 and Division 4. Sterling Heights Stevenson had three players, along with Titans coach Tony Misuraca, on the White squad in the D-1 game. Grosse Pointe University Liggett had three players play for the Red team in the D-4 contest.
“It’s fun,” said Stevenson senior pitcher Alyssa Huntley, who earned 2013 MHSSCA Miss Softball and 2013 Gatorade Michigan Softball Player of the Year honors. “You get to be friends with some of your enemies. You’re on a team with girls from Dakota and other schools in our league and it’s awesome.”
This is the 32nd year of the All-Star games.
In the first game of the afternoon, the D-4 contest, the Red team topped the White 2-1. Check back for updated scores throughout the afternoon.
