Looking back: George Perles

George Perles is best known in Michigan for leading the 1987 Michigan State Spartans football team to a Rose Bowl victory. But in the 1960s, he coached the Grosse Pointe Park St. Ambrose High School Cavaliers for three seasons, twice winning the Goodfellow Game, which pitted the champion of the Catholic League against the champion of the Detroit Public School League and was considered the biggest football game in the state.
