Wayne State University football is scheduled to host defending Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion Ashland University at 6 p.m. Sep. 14 in the program's first-ever night game at Adams Field.
"We can't wait to see and hear the enthusiasm of our students, alumni and fans at the first collegiate night game at Adams Field," coach Paul Winters said in a release.
Amongst the scheduled special events that will accompany the game is a halftime ceremony, in which each of the school's varsity teams are scheduled to be introduced in a parade of athletes, modeled after the Olympic opening ceremonies.
The first 2,000 fans through the gate receive a glow stick.
