In Memory of Hough, Louise Ann

Louise Ann Hough, 84, went to be with our Lord on August 29, 2013. She was the loving wife of Louis E. Hough for almost 60 years. Her passing was peaceful in Loveland, CO.

Louise was born in St Paul, Minnesota on July 12, 1929, to Emily and Ernest Weigt. After graduating from Murray High School in St Paul, she attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN, and Macalester College in St. Paul, where she received her Elementary Education Degree. On December 26, 1953, she married Louis Hough in St Paul. She taught elementary school in Winona, St Paul, and Minneapolis, MN from 1950 to 1956.

Louise loved music and taught piano while excelling as a wife and homemaker.
She raised 3 children in Fridley, Minnesota until 1969 when the family moved to St
Clair Shores, Michigan, where she resided until October, 2012. Louise moved to Sterling, CO, with Louis, where they resided with her son, Rory, and wife Sheryl, until May, 2013, when they moved to Loveland, CO.

She loved singing in the Lakeshore Presbyterian Church Choir and formed many life-long friendships in the church. She was a very accomplished pianist and accompanied the St Clair Shores Community Chorus for several years.
Louise also loved gardening and volunteered several hours each week at Lakeshore Church assisting with the “Clothes Closet”, helping to gather and distribute clothes and food to families in need.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ernest and Charles White. Louise is survived by her loving husband, Louis, along with her 3 children and their spouses: Heidi Webster (Gary), Rory Hough (Sheryl), and Leah Baxter (Pat). She will also be deeply missed by her sister, Gladys, and her grandchildren, Carter and McKenna Hough, Dylan and Jeremy Baxter and numerous nephews, nieces as well as her extended family and friends.

Louise lived a beautiful life and will always be remembered for her amazing piano talent, along with the loving and unselfish way she touched all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her Christian faith was very strong and we know she is enjoying Heaven immensely. One of her favorite bible verses
was: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Two Celebrations of Life will be held in Sterling, CO, on September 28th at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Sterling and October 26th at Lakeshore Church in St Clair Shores, MI at 2pm.
