Sheriff soliciting tips to catch bank robber

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — At press time, police were seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who reportedly robbed a Macomb Township bank.

According to Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, deputies and detectives were actively investigating a robbery that occurred at around 11:33 a.m. on Oct. 28 at the Credit Union One located at 16255 Hall Road, between Tilch and Garfield roads.

Credit Union One employees stated that the suspect walked into the building and produced a note demanding money. No weapon was seen. The man received an undisclosed amount of cash and walked out of the bank.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, and in his late 30s. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a puffy brown coat and a black knit cap.
