"There is not a day that goes by that my Dad does not endlessly give his time, patience and devotion to me and my step-Mom.  My Dad is no ordinary Dad. My Dad finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles he has had to face in his lifetime.  And throughout those obstacles, there was never a time that he wasn’t by my side to coach, teach, lecture, advise and love me unconditionally.  My Dad is one of the hardest workers that I have ever known, some days working 12 hours and yet still coming home with a smile and patience to hear about my day.  My Dad is my voice of reason, my hand-holder, partner in crime, broken heart-healer, problem Dad is my best friend! My hero!"

Abigail Bass, of Bloomfield Hills

Dad: Bill Bass
(Winner of a Car Detailing Package from Classic Appreciation)

"My dad is the jack-of-all-trades and master of one: love. I am inspired by my father’s mastery of all sorts of skills, but more importantly the personality traits that he demonstrates on a daily basis. When he walks into any space he changes the whole environment. His happiness, energy and smile radiates throughout any room. When he speaks he is joyful, intelligent, charming, humorous and optimistic. His actions demonstrate integrity, hard work, perseverance and a positive attitude. He is always one step ahead. His words are thoughtful and come from his heart. In every situation he is genuine and compassionate. My father is extremely active in our community. When he volunteers he is known to be the one that anyone (volunteers or those being assisted) can go to. However, what really sets him apart is his aura. He touches people’s hearts and instills a feeling of hope in a way that people have never felt. I know this to be true, not only because he is my father, but also because I see people literally light up when they speak with him. His genuine sincerity and love brings out the best in others. For all of these reasons and so many more, my dad is my hero."
