The Fraser Fire Truck pictured was a needed addition to the Fraser firefighting equipment. In 1949, the Fraser Fire House had two trucks to fight fires with. Fraser would assist with fires and be assisted by Roseville, Eastpointe, Warren and other nearby municipalities, so most of the firefighting staff was on call to help neighboring areas fight their fires. Fire protection was a serious subject after Fraser had major fires in 1905 and 1921.
