Looking Back: The 1986 WWTHS homecoming parade
Posted August 6, 2014
During the 1986-1987 school year, the Warren Woods Tower High School community took to the streets for the annual homecoming parade Oct. 11, 1986. Led by the marching band, the parade featured a cereal theme, including the senior’s winning Trix float, pictured. The route began at the Westwood Elementary parking lot, finishing at the high school.
The year marked the first homecoming parade for the school’s new dance team. Cars also drove on Martin Road with student congress officers, queen and king courts, class officers and cheerleaders. The freshman float was Froot Loops while Lucky Charms came to life via the sophomore class, with the juniors having a Boo Berry Count Chocula float.
