From Kim Parr, Director of the Macomb County Historical Society and Crocker House Museum
This photograph came from the Kent family and is now part of the collection held at the Macomb County Historical Society and Crocker House Museum.
This is a photograph to consider while preparing for a Thanksgiving meal. Take a look at the cooking stove in this 1898 photograph. A member of the Kent family, who lived at 118 Lincoln Street in Mount Clemens, is cooking on her modern gas stove, yet heats the room with another stove.
The Macomb County Historical Society and Crocker House Museum are located at 15 Union Street in Mount Clemens. For more information, call (586) 465-2488 or go to www.crockerhousemuseum.com.
