A gas station attendant is in serious condition after a lone gunman shot him multiple times during the early morning hours of Oct. 30.
The gunman walked into the Mobil gas station at Harper Avenue and Denton Street, north of Metropolitan Parkway, around 2 a.m. and shot the clerk in a back room, said Clinton Township Capt. Rich Maierle. The clerk was shot four times, including once in the eye.
The gunman went behind the counter but didn’t appear to be able to open the computerized cash register, Maierle said.
The suspect is described as a black man, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. Video surveillance showed that the man had three layers of clothing on, including a scarf over his face.
Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to call detectives at (586) 493-7840.
