SOUTHFIELD — Police are searching for a man who donned a wig, makeup and a woman’s dress to rob a bank at 2:20 p.m. March 18 in the 29000 block of Greenfield Road. The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, wearing red rouge makeup, a burnt-orange wig, black shoes and a black scarf. He had a thin mustache on his upper lip. A weapon was implied, but never shown, and no one was injured in the incident, police said. The teller told police that the suspect approached the counter and handed her a note, written in red ink, which she was unable to read due to poor penmanship. The suspect then said, “Give me all your money. Do not hit the buzzer,” referring to the alarm that alerts police of a robbery. The suspect escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He fled southbound and was last seen behind a hardware store in that area. A possible suspect vehicle was described as a newer-model black Jeep Cherokee. — Jennie Miller
