League: Kensington Lakes Activities Association North Division
Last season: 3-6
Opening game: 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at South Lyon High

Offense

Key player: Joe Diamond, senior, quarterback

The Vikings return eight players on offense, including Diamond, who is a threat with his arm and legs.

“He has a little wiggle in the hips that can make him hard to tackle in the open field,” coach Bob Meyer said.

Special teams

Key player: Ramon Alexander, junior, retrurn man

“He has lightning speed. On the punt and kick returns, he’s going to make things happen,” Meyer said.

Coach’s outlook

With a plethora of talent back on both sides of the ball, Meyer expects his program to bounce back from a disappointing finish last season.

“We had 10 sophomores get a lot of playing time last year — we had no choice — but we knew it would pay dividends, and we’re cashing it in this season,” Meyer said. “We just have to focus one game at a time and play assignment football. If we do that, we’ll be in the playoffs.”
