League: Oakland Activities Association White Division
Last season: 6-4
Opening game: 5:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Southfield High

Offense

Key player: Matt Craven, junior, quarterback

Craven is entering his second year as a starter and looks to lead an offense that features seven returnees.

“He broke most of the Farmington records as a sophomore,” Farmington High coach John Bechtel said.

Special teams

Key player: Marco Iaderosa, senior, kicker/punter

Iaderosa is one of the few seniors on the roster and brings a big leg to the punting and kicking game. Bechtel said he’s a consistent kicker who has the ability to put the ball through the end zone on kickoffs.

Coach’s outlook

The Falcons were young last season and still managed to win six of their final seven games.

“At the end of the year, we were as good as anyone in the state, and those guys are back as juniors,” the coach said. “They key is how physical can we play.”
