Local golfers head to amateur championship

It’s that time of year again.

It’s time for Michigan’s finest amateur golfers test their skills among their peers.

The 98th Michigan Amateur is June 23-27 at Spring Meadows Country Club in Linden.

The first two days feature 36 holes of golf, with the top 64 finishers heading into the match play portion over the weekend. From there, the champion will be crowned.
